I have some ideas on pursuing this blog with the primary focus on the medium of video. I am making this decision because I believe videos are generally more interesting and attractive to readers and viewers. The idea is that it should increase the number of viewers, which should help to progress networking. I am not chasing the dime here, but I would like to be able to sale some of my pots. Haha!
This is a video that may be the beginning of a larger project, which is a documentary type deal in my head for now. I have been living alone and have no one to share many of my beautiful experiences with. Hopefully these short video documentaries will enrich and inspire the lives of the viewers so enjoy my first intro video post!

I hate to say it, and I may be the minority, but I much prefer to read your beautifully written words, I don't really like TV either, would much rather read a book! But I'm sure lots of people do like video better, I just hear a different drummer :)
ReplyDeleteNot gonna lie, I probably won't watch the videos. But that's just me.

thanks for the comments. I was not expecting that. I can work with that.
ReplyDeleteVideo is a great medium, especially for throwing or short tours / processes. But I think you'll find it just as time-consuming to edit longer interesting videos as to write interesting posts. It seems to me that the problem with blogging is that it takes a bit of time to create interesting content in any medium. There's far too much rambling out there in the blogosphere, and personally my favorite blogs are the ones that post one interesting article per month rather than 4 off the cuff posts per week. That said, keep the videos coming... it's a treat to see more around the Hewitt studio. And to save time, you may find you can edit in camera or in your head by limiting/organizing what shots you film as you film them. Cheers!
ReplyDeletehey brad cheers! i enjoyed the tour and you live onsite too.....bonus or not so sometimes..
ReplyDeleteWell, i enjoyed that. Maybe you can mix up the blog a bit - some writing, some video - but I like the video.
